Jennifer & Jacob's Aussies Love to Work!

Jennifer & Jacob's Story

H3 Aussies is owned by Jennifer and Jacob Crowley. We own a 90 acre farm in  the Pineywoods of East Texas and run a small but growing commercial cow-calf operation. As we added more cattle and established more pasture, we discovered a need for a good cow dog. Neither myself nor Jacob had any stockdog experience and needed a dog that wouldn't require much training but could also be at ease with our family as we have 3 small children.      We started with Australian Shepherds in 2012; however, it wasn't until January 2015 that we obtained our first real working bred male, Gus, from H Cross Aussies that we really began to appreciate the breed for what it was originally bred for. Since then we have added two females: Honey, our Slash V female, and Tody, another H Cross addition.     2021 brought us a few changes and additions here at H3. Jacob & I built bigger and better working pens to allow for better handling of stock as well as having pens to train in. We retained a male pup, Roy Bean, from our Gus x Tody litter. I audited my first stockdog clinic with Roger Stevens and learned so much. The future is bright here at H3 and we are looking forward to continuing to grow & improve our knowledge & skillset.     As always our goal is to produce a well-rounded farm/ranch dog that can work in the pasture all day if need be and still be a part of the family in their downtime. We are dedicated to preserving the original working Aussie. We firmly believe that a stockdog should be a companion and bonded member of the family not just a tool locked in a kennel when not working.       We are proud members of ASCA, the Working Aussie Source and Good Dog.
